The suspect in a fatal shooting shot himself to death following a standoff with police and SWAT members on Sunday.
North Bergen Police responded to the initial shooting at 10:20 p.m. on Sunday at a home near Paterson Plank Road and 14th Street. When officers arrived, they found the body of the resident, 61-year-old Manuel Colon, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement on Monday.
