COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A bill in the Ohio Statehouse could change how soon teenagers can legally get behind the wheel.
The goal of the bill is to require teens to have more supervised driving experience before earning a license.
Senate Bill 419 would lower the age to acquire a learner’s permit to 15-years-old from 15-and-a-half. It would also increase the amount of time drivers spend learning on the road before attempting to earn a license, requiring a full year instead of six months.
