FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Various road projects are bringing lane restrictions and closures to streets across Fort Wayne and Allen County starting on Monday.
- FULL CLOSURE:
- Indianapolis Road will be fully closed between West Hamilton Road and West Yoder Road
- From Monday, June 22, through Tuesday, June 30
- LANE RESTRICTIONS:
- Lake Avenue: Intermittent lane closures are planned along Lake Avenue between Annette Avenue and Coliseum Boulevard
- From Monday, June 22, through Tuesday, June 23
- West Cook Road: Westbound traffic on Cook Road will be closed between Huguenard and Lima Roads
- From Monday, June 22, through Friday, July 10
- South Coliseum Boulevard: Northbound traffic on S Coliseum Blvd. will be closed between Schele Avenue and Reynolds Street
- From Monday, June 22, through Tuesday, November 24
Fort Wayne City Utilities says its East Transmission Main Project will cause the following impacts to traffic starting Monday through late November:
- South Coliseum Boulevard:Northbound lane of S Coliseum Boulevard will be closed south of McCormick Avenue for a separate project
- New Haven Avenue: Westbound lane of New Haven Avenue will be closed between Meyer Road and Coliseum Boulevard South.
- East Washington Boulevard/S.R. 930: Southbound access to the State Road 930 and Meyer Road intersection will be closed.
The city shared the following detours for the closures:
City Utilities also says drivers trying to access businesses near Meyer Road, New Haven Avenue, Moeller Road, and State Road 930 should use the following routes:
- State Road 930 access from Meyer Road:
- West on Oxford Street, north on Wayne Trace, north on North Anthony Boulevard, and east on Maumee Avenue.
- Moeller Road access from New Haven Avenue:
- South on Wayne Trace, East on Oxford Street, South on Meyer Road, East on Paulding Avenue, and north on Adams Center Road.
