The Pennsylvania State Police on Monday recognized four troopers who were shot while responding to incidents, including a shootout that was the subject of a recent PennLive investigation.
Troopers Joseph Perechinsky and William K. Jenkins III, both of Troop R in Gibson, along with Lucas C. Amarose and Thomas R. Pack, both of Troop H in Chambersburg, received the Pennsylvania State Police Purple Heart for injuries suffered in the line of duty.
