Townhouse blaze displaces 2 adults in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Two adults have been displaced after a townhouse fire in the 5400 block of Coach Drive in Virginia Beach on Monday evening.

The fire was reported at 5:44 p.m., according to the Virginia Beach Fire Department. Firefighters arrived at 5:48 p.m. to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the second story of the townhouse. Crews marked the fire under control at 6:09 p.m. and marked it out at 6:18 p.m.

Two adults and one cat were displaced, but nobody was injured, the fire department said. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist with temporary housing…
