Community invited to celebrate life of beloved radio host Mark Robertson

BLUFFTON, Sc. (WTOC) – Friends, listeners, and community members are invited to honor the life of longtime 98.7 The River radio personality Mark Robertson during a public celebration of life on June 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Barn at New Riverside in Bluffton. Admission and parking are free.

Robertson, who spent 48 years on the air serving listeners across the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry, died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was also known for founding the station’s Christmas Wish program, which supported families affected by cancer for 25 years.

The event will feature adoptable pets from Palmetto Animal League and Hilton Head Humane Association’s Okatie Campus, reflecting Robertson’s lifelong love for animals.
