BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. — The mother of Ava Wood accepted her child’s diploma at the Baldwinsville Central School District Graduation.
Ava Wood died in 2023. At the time, she was a ninth-grade student at Durgee Junior High School. She was a part of the Baldwinsville Class of 2026. She played soccer and was a part of the school track and field team.
“It was an honor to recognize her memory as her mother accepted her diploma on her behalf,” the Baldwinsville School District wrote on its Facebook page. “We continue to keep Ava’s family in our thoughts and are grateful to recognize her as part of this special day.”…
