Houston police are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman they say grabbed a motel worker’s personal property during a February confrontation near the North Freeway. Investigators report that the suspect took the employee’s belongings while the worker tried to call police, then took off on foot.
The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division has posted still images and a brief case summary on its public page, listing the incident as HPD case #598596-26. According to the summary, the incident happened around 8:15 a.m. on Feb. 10 in the 8500 block of North Freeway inbound. The confrontation reportedly started after the suspect raised concerns about an unrented room, and during that dispute the woman took the complainant’s property, per Houston Police Robbery.
What police released
The public notice includes a still image of the suspect and a short physical description. Investigators describe her as a female wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt and dark shorts with medium-length hair. According to the Robbery Division’s write-up, she ran from the scene on foot after taking the complainant’s personal property.
