University of Nebraska approves tuition increase, cuts to come

University of Nebraska-Lincoln students will see their tuition rise for the fourth year in a row.

The Board of Regents approved a roughly 4% increase in tuition rates as part of its $3.6 billion budget for the 2026-2027 school year.

Undergraduate resident students will see their tuition increase by $12 per credit hour, and nonresident students will see their tuition increase by $40 per credit hour…
