Wisconsin Gov. Evers requests Rapid Disaster Declaration for areas affected by spring storms

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers sent a letter to the U.S. Small Business Administration to declare a Rapid Disaster Declaration from the severe storms and flooding that happened this spring.

Gov. Evers requested that Marathon, Rock, Vernon and Waupaca Counties be eligible for disaster assistance based on joint damage assessments from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, state, county and local staff.

If approved, federal disaster loans from the Small Business Administration will be available for Wisconsinites and businesses impacted in the four counties, as well as the 20 counties they border…
