Restaurants finally open at new $20M San Antonio shopping center

The Portico at Shaenfield Ranch, a brand-new shopping center on the Far Northwest Side, is setting the stage for several restaurants to open at the San Antonio retail site. Most recently, a local brunch favorite and a crepe-filled cafe chain opened locations at The Portico, bringing new life to the growing hub.

As of Monday, June 22, Box St. All Day and Crepeccino have both opened at The Portico at Shaenfield Ranch, adding two new dining spots to the area. Box St. All Day is a San Antonio-based eatery serving classic brunch dishes like French toast and eggs Benedict, while Crepeccino specializes in sweet and savory crepes and other brunchy bites.

The Portico at Shaenfield Ranch is also home to a few other concepts, including the sushi burrito shop Makirrito and El Mercado, a Mexican restaurant specializing in rice bowls topped with protein. As of Monday, both of these businesses appear to be open to customers. There is also a Black Swan Yoga location at The Portico, with a “now open” banner hanging outside.

Though several businesses have opened, there seemed to be a number of suites throughout The Portico that had not yet filled, and some parts of the large building were still under construction. A sign for Bitelo Brazilian Steakhouse was on the premises, but the restaurant is still in the works. MySA will keep an eye on The Portico at Shaenfield Ranch as more develops…
