Allegations against Bossier Parish’s Library Board of Control led some police jurors to question the legality of the board’s current membership during its meeting on Wednesday.
Currently, the library board, which governs the parish library system, is comprised of all 12 police jurors. On his Bossier Views blog, LSU Shreveport political science professor Dr. Jeff Sadow has alleged this is a violation of state laws that appear to cap the board’s membership at five to seven people.
Sadow has threatened to take the Police Jury to court if the library board continues meeting without correcting the alleged issues he says he has identified.
