SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane city leaders are asking the community for feedback on a proposed reconstruction project of Spokane Falls Boulevard, a corridor that has served the community for more than a century but now faces aging infrastructure and growing demands from pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.
The pipes running beneath the street are more than 100 years old, and the city says the time has come for a comprehensive overhaul that addresses both the underground infrastructure and the roadway above it.
