‘Ain’t worth it’ Convicted killers of rapper Foolio send message to Jacksonville youth

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Four men convicted in the 2024 killing of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio were sentenced Monday to life in prison without the possibility of parole, bringing a high-profile case tied to ongoing gang violence to a close.

Isaiah Chance, Sean Gathright, Davion Murphy and Rashad Murphy were each sentenced in Hillsborough County in connection to the fatal shooting of Foolio, whose real name was Charles Jones. Prosecutors said Jones was targeted as part of a long-running gang conflict in Jacksonville.
