TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — After about a week of daily rain in the Tallahassee area, mosquitoes are starting to show up in greater numbers as hot weather, humidity and standing water create ideal conditions for the biting insects.
Many people in Leon County say they are seeing — and swatting — more mosquitoes.
“I pass by the lake everyday and since all of the rain recently I have scene an increase in the number of mosquitos and it’s not fun. I have to wipe them off of my clothes and my car as I ‘m going to work, not cool,” said Ethan Straus, who said he doesn’t like mosquito bites…
