ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A fire caused significant damage to a Rockford business late Monday night.
The fire broke out at J & M Plating in the 4500 block of Kishwaukee Street just after 10:15 p.m., according to Rockford Fire.
Firefighters arrived to find flames burning inside an exhaust stack above a heat-treating machine. Two automatic sprinkler heads had already activated, helping contain the fire and prevent it from spreading…
