After nearly 10 years of business, Coffee Connections is being forced to close its Hilliard location due to floor damage.
Owners Sharon and Nate Grenier posted on social media in June a plan to operate around the damage until further repairs can be made. Running a business in a 100-year-old building, issues tend to pop up, but after noticing the sinking floor had caused their counter to detach from the wall, it was clear this was no quick fix.
On June 17, while the owners were away, the city inspector and fire marshal evaluated the safety of Coffee Connections’ floor. The landlord was notified that, within 14 days, a city-approved structural engineer must inspect the damage and determine what repairs can be done…
