Resident suffers ‘serious’ burns after fire in Riverside

Firefighters responded to a duplex in Riverside Tuesday morning, where they extinguished a fire with an estimated damage cost of $50,000.

Authorities say that responding crews found one person with “serious” burns in the front yard of the duplex, located on Collin Kelly Drive.

After arriving around 7:11 a.m., crews placed the fire under control by 7:23. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Fire Department and Dayton Fire Department assisted Riverside FD at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing as crews determine the cause of the fire. The Ohio Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting with this investigation…
