Winn-Dixie makes strong comeback, converts all Harveys in Florida, Georgia

After celebrating its 100th anniversary last year, The Winn-Dixie Company hopes to come back strong with new stores, a new logo, more products, and a renewed focus on Florida.

The Miami-born, Jacksonville-based grocery chain completed converting eight Harveys Supermarket locations into Winn-Dixie stores, the chain announced on June 22, bringing all its stores under one name. The last Harveys in Florida reopened as a Winn-Dixie four days earlier, in Jacksonville.

The new locations feature a refreshed look and full product lineup, including signature Own Brand products, fresh produce, quality meats, and prepared foods, the company said. Winn-Dixie also expanded its delivery options through Amazon in April to reach households in most Florida metro areas…
