Flash flood warning issued for Rockland County and NJ

A flash flood warning is in effect for Rockland County, New York and parts of northern New Jersey on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. The National Weather Service issued the alert as heavy rain and thunderstorms move through the region, bringing rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour to several communities.

In Rockland County, the warning covers Suffern, New City, Nanuet and Nyack. Across the border in northern New Jersey, the affected communities include Ramsey, Ringwood, Wayne and Pompton Lakes.
