NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Norfolk Harbor has begun to clear out after tall ships from across the globe helped celebrate America’s 250th birthday.

Monday evening, a crowd gathered at the outer berth at Town Point Park to watch as the United States Coast Guard Cutter Eagle shoved off towards Baltimore for the next Sail 250 event later this week. B.A.P. Union, A.R.A. Libertad, and B/E Juan Sebastian De Elcano followed shortly after.
Activity isn’t slowing down along the waterfront, though, as the Carnival Sunshine is in port Tuesday.
