WORCESTER — Thirteen-year-old Yandeliz Mercado of Worcester had never been to a soccer game in person before.
That all changed Tuesday when she and more than 40 other children of the Worcester Boys & Girls Club, were given a special send off by Gov. Maura Healey to attend the game between England and Ghana at Boston Stadium.
The best part? Mercado and the other children didn’t have to pay for tickets…
