Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks is reflecting on his career in education as he gets set to retire at the end of this school year.

His career spans 47 years, with 32 years here in Perry. Wicks was an elementary teacher in Panora-Linden from 1979-1982; then a teacher in Johnston from 1982-1987. He spent two years at Rockwell City CSD before accepting the principal’s position in 1989 for Perry’s Lincoln and Webster schools…
