Man shot by BCSO deputy after advancing with ‘large knives’ on far West Side, sheriff says

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputy shot a man twice Tuesday evening after he allegedly advanced on deputies while wielding “large knives,” according to Sheriff Javier Salazar.

The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 8400 block of Knapp Rise, near Ranch View and Culebra Road. The sheriff’s office said neighbors reported seeing the man going onto their porches and hiding near their homes.
