▶︎Madison supervisors steer more money to Hoover Ridge as costs keep climbing

Madison County is putting more money into Hoover Ridge Park as officials warn that waiting could make the project much more expensive.

At Tuesday night’s board of supervisors meeting, the board approved two supplemental appropriations tied to the park, including money for a long-awaited splash pad and additional funds that could help move lighting for the hockey rink closer to reality.

The first action accepted new outside money for the splash pad. County staff said the latest round includes $872,000 connected to the Walter and Ada Thompson Charitable Foundation and Support Hoover Ridge, plus another $60,000 from the Parks and Recreation Authority…
