BODYCAM: Escaped prisoner captured at Vero Beach apartment, sheriff’s office says

VERO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — An escaped prisoner wanted by authorities was captured Monday afternoon at a Vero Beach apartment after he tried to climb out of a second-story window, according to an Indian River County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.

Deputies identified the man as 31-year-old Jalyn Tyler Binion. The sheriff’s office said Binion had escaped Florida Department of Corrections custody on Sunday and was believed to be hiding at an apartment on Azalea Lane.

According to the report, the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force adopted the case and notified local law enforcement that Binion may be in Indian River County. The Vero Beach Police Department was also made aware that the task force would be operating in the area…
