LUBBOCK, Texas — Iaan Palacios is only 15 years old and is fighting for his life. Just a few months ago he was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Iaan undergoes several blood and platelet transfusions a week as part of his cancer treatment.
“Without those…I wouldn’t even really be here…the blood and platelets,” Iaan said.
Melissa Palacios is Iaan’s mom and said these transfusions give her son a second wind. They give him back some energy to do the things he wants to do…
