GM denies Omaha owner’s claim of engine defect after parked car catches fire

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A parked car suddenly burst into flames and there’s no official report indicating arson. So the owner alleges something else is to blame.

A 4 a.m. photo from March shows Omaha firefighters dousing flames near 132nd and Harrison, but witness Sheila Allee told the Trax owner about a startling start to the fire.

“I heard a big boom, before I looked out my window. Ball of flames like about 12 feet,” Allee said…
