4 KC-area men charged for separate planned attacks on government

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In less than three weeks, four men from the Kansas City metro area have been charged in separate federal cases involving alleged plots targeting government facilities, U.S. service members and most recently, visitors attending some of the nation’s highest-profile events.

The latest arrest came this week when federal prosecutors charged 28-year-old Jordan Rincker with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with an alleged plan to carry out attacks at a UFC Fight Night event at the White House and a FIFA World Cup match scheduled for July 3 at Arrowhead Stadium.

“We have a situation where an individual allegedly was working together with other individuals in order to levy harm, terror and hurt people,” said Greg Watt, a federal defense attorney and former state prosecutor…
