Indiana’s oldest living WWII veteran, Evansville resident passes away

EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) – The Hoosier State’s oldest living World War II veteran and Evansville resident has died.

Irving LeVine passed away at the age of 104. The Honor Flight of Southern Indiana states LeVine was a former Sergeant who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946 with tours in India and China.

He had worked several jobs including an oil producer, training manager and a salesman. LeVine also worked for Easterseals for many years before retiring at 85-years-old to become a fulltime caregiver for his wife, Virginia “Gigi” LeVine…
