Man charged with attempted homicide for shooting outside South Nashville apartment complex

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nearly a month after a shooting left a man injured outside a South Nashville apartment complex, authorities said they have arrested the suspect responsible for the incident.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by News 2, the shooting was reported just after 5:30 a.m. outside Wallace Studios in the 90 block of Wallace Road on May 25.

Surveillance footage in the area reportedly showed the victim standing next to a white minivan before Kenneth Watt, 29, got out of a black Buick Regal and approached him.

After approaching the victim, video footage showed Watt pull out a firearm and shoot the victim while “standing within arm’s length,” per the arrest affidavit. Officials said Watt then got back in the Buick and fled the scene…
