VAN BUREN, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A lodge at Van Buren Park now bears the name of Corporal Kyle Schneider, a local Marine killed in Afghanistan. This honor comes as next week marks 15 years since his death.
The naming recognizes Corporal Schneider’s service and his family’s efforts to keep his memory alive through the Corporal Schneider Foundation. His personal motto, “It’s my turn,” has been adopted by his family and turned into service through the foundation.
