Red Flag warning issued for Spokane area and Central Washington

WASHINGTON — The National Weather Service in Spokane issued a Red Flag Warning for parts of Central and Eastern Washington from 11 a.m. Wednesday through 9 p.m. Thursday due to warm, windy and dry conditions.

The warning covers the Colville Reservation, Okanogan Valley, foothills of the Central Washington Cascades, Waterville Plateau, Western Columbia Basin, Eastern Columbia Basin-Palouse-Spokane area and Lower Palouse-Snake River region. The agency said the earlier Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
