VERO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — As food prices and other household expenses continue to climb, more families in Indian River County are turning to a local organization for help putting meals on the table.

The Food Pantry of Indian River County, a volunteer-run nonprofit in Vero Beach, provides supplemental food assistance to residents facing food insecurity. Leaders say the need has grown significantly in recent years, with more working families seeking help on a regular basis.
