Heavy rain causes flash flooding concerns across southern Arkansas

NASHVILLE, Ark. — Several inches of rain fell across southern Arkansas over the past few days, causing flash flooding concerns, road closures and rising water levels in multiple communities.

In Hope, rainfall totals reached between 5 and 10 inches within a 12-hour period, while Nashville received between 4 and 6 inches of rain, prompting flash flood warnings throughout the region.
