OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A Chinese national who was arrested at a New York airport after authorities say he illegally took photos of aircraft at Offutt Air Force Base has been sentenced.
Tianrui Liang plead guilty to photographing defense installations and was sentenced June 18 to one year of supervised release.
Prosecutors said Liang had taken photos of Offutt Air Force Base on March 31 without prior approval from the base commander. An Offutt spokesman said that the person arrested “did not gain access” to the base…
