The city of St. Louis has awarded nearly $3.9 million in federal housing funds to support affordable housing development and rehabilitation projects expected to create or improve 34 housing units across the city.
The funding, announced by the Community Development Administration, will help finance projects in The Ville, Hyde Park, Fox Park, Dutchtown, Gravois Park and the Central West End. Combined with other public and private investment, the projects represent more than $10.9 million in development activity.
Among the largest awards is nearly $835,000 for The Ville Generations project, which will bring nine newly constructed homes to North Sarah Street in the tornado-impacted Greater Ville neighborhood.
