DEPOT DISTRICT—The 1, 2, 9 and 21 bus routes will continue running at 15-minute frequencies for another year after the Utah Transit Authority Board of Trustees renewed its partnership with Salt Lake City on Wednesday.
Meeting for the final time before a new Utah Transit Commission takes over governance of UTA in July, the outgoing board voted unanimously to approve an addendum to its Frequent Transit Network agreement, in which Salt Lake City pays roughly $6 million—on top of standard sales tax formulas—to boost service on key routes.
