Springfield to revisit city hall remodel plan after local contractors raise concerns

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — The City of Springfield is going back to the drawing board when it comes to its upcoming city hall remodeling project after local construction companies expressed their concern with the city potentially hiring out-of-state resources to do the job.

“A protest letter from Chambers that it would be nice to give about half a beat before we respond to and get them a formal response,” said Springfield Mayor Sean VanGordon.
