Man charged with strangulation, kidnapping in Burlington domestic incident, police say

BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A man is accused of strangulation and assaulting a woman in Burlington, according to police.

At about 2:44 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report of a domestic assault on the 600 block of East Webb Avenue.

At the scene, police found a woman who said she had been assaulted by Lashaun Warren Crump, 44. Before officers arrived, Crump had reportedly left the scene with personal property belonging to the victim.

Police were able to obtain warrants and found Crumps vehicle on the 2700 block of Alamance County at about 9:30 a.m. He was pulled over and arrested on charges of felony assault by strangulation, first-degree kidnapping, misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, assault on a female and misdemeanor larcey…
