WLNS owner Nexstar donates $5,000 to Lansing-area Building Twentyone

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A local nonprofit working to empower teens has received a $5,000 donation from Nexstar Media Group, the parent company of 6 News.

The $5,000 donation is part of the Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation’s 30 Days of Giving initiative, celebrating the company’s 30th anniversary. Every day throughout the month of June, Nexstar is donating to two organizations nominated by Nexstar’s employees.

WLNS employees nominated Building Twentyone. Of the more than 100 organizations that were nominated, it was one of 60 selected to receive funding.
