Woman indicted on aggravated burglary, assault charges

A 2025 attempted robbery and shooting has led to the indictment of a woman on charges of aggravated burglary and aggravated assault.

Sara Lynn Stratton, 32, was indicted in August 2025 by a Sumner County grand jury and was taken into custody on June 16, 2026. She was booked into the Sumner County Jail on $200,000 bond.

According to court records, on June 11, 2025, Stratton and Dylan James Bryan, 34, of Athens, broke into a store on West Main Street in Hendersonville around 4 a.m. The couple were confronted by the store owners, at which point Bryan allegedly pulled a handgun. One of the owners, who was wielding a shotgun, reportedly fired at Bryan, hitting him in the abdomen. Bryan reportedly fired multiple shots at the couple but missed them…
