A new “commercial village” will sit on about eight acres in front of Horry County Schools’ new acreage in Little River.
Earlier in 2026, HCS completed plans to purchase almost 37 acres of land on what was the old Harbour View Golf Course in Little River. The district purchased the land from The BWS Company, a Charleston-based land investor and developer.
HCS did not purchase the totality of the property that the BWS Company owned on the site, just the back 37 acres. The balance of the property — around eight acres at the front of the property site that fronts Highway 17 — is planned to be developed into a commercial “village”, BWS says…
