These Lafayette area restaurants cited for critical health dept. violations from June 11-25

There were several Lafayette area restaurants that received critical violations related to kitchen conditions or food preparation in Louisiana Department of Health inspections over the last two weeks of June.

The health department’s retail food health inspections dashboard includes a history of each establishment’s inspection reports, allowing residents and visitors of Louisiana to make informed decisions as consumers, according to their website. Inspections are a “snapshot” in time and do not always reflect the day-to-day operations and overall condition of an establishment.

According to the website, violations fall into two main categories, critical and noncritical. Critical violations, if left uncorrected, are more likely to directly contribute to food contamination or illness.
