An early Thursday burst of gunfire in West Seattle’s High Point neighborhood left one person reported injured and rattled residents across the area. Officers and medics moved in on streets near the neighborhood’s commercial spine while investigators searched for evidence. According to West Seattle Blog, police said a car crashed near the Seattle Police Department’s Southwest Precinct and its occupants fled on foot toward the nearby Home Depot. The outlet reports that officers located an “automatic rifle” inside that vehicle and that at least one building was struck by a bullet.
