Richmond County deputy arrested, fired over misusing license plate readers

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A Richmond County deputy has been arrested and fired after he is accused of misusing license plate readers.

The sheriff’s office conducted a routine audit of its Flock License Plate Reader (LPR) camera system on June 25.
