Posey County residents will soon receive emergency alerts through a new notification system. The Posey County Emergency Management Agency is switching from CodeRED to Rave Alert. The new system will continue providing critical weather warnings and other emergency notifications to residents across the county. As officials transfer contact information into the new platform, some residents may receive an email from Rave Alert asking them to confirm their email address. Emergency Management officials say those emails are legitimate and are not a scam. The EMA also apologized for any confusion the unexpected emails may have caused during the transition.
