The New Jersey Institute of Technology Department of Public Safety has been accredited by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA), an honor held by fewer than 100 campus law enforcement agencies across the country.
The designation places NJIT among an elite tier of institutions that have demonstrated rigorous adherence to nationally recognized standards for hiring, officer development, operational protocols, and ongoing professional accountability. Beyond the credential itself, IACLEA recognition carries tangible organizational benefits, including stronger institutional oversight and a built-in framework for sustaining high performance over time.
The achievement adds to Newark already notable public safety record. NJIT ranks among the most secure urban campuses in the nation and has cultivated a meaningful partnership with the surrounding Newark community.
