Giant nude sculpture near San Francisco’s Ferry Building is up for sale

A 45-foot nude sculpture that became one of San Francisco’s most debated public artworks is now available for sale or lease as its temporary run near the Ferry Building approaches its end.

R-Evolution, a towering steel-and-mesh figure of a woman by Northern California artist Marco Cochrane, has stood at Embarcadero Plaza since April 2025. Cochrane’s website says the work is on the market and directs interested parties to contact him. The price is not listed.

The sculpture is expected to remain in San Francisco through October, after city arts officials extended its stay through the fall…
