Chatham County teenager indicted in April shooting death of 18-year-old

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – A Chatham County teenager was indicted this week for the murder of another teenager in April.

Joseph Natson, 19, was indicted on malice and felony murder charges for the death of 18-year-old Tre’Vonn Jason.

The shooting

Officers were called around 6:46 p.m. on April 1 to the 300 block of Chatham Villa Drive after a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound. When officers arrived, they found Jason. He was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Arrest

Garden City Police detectives arrested Natson on April 7 at his home on Iowa Street in Savannah on a murder charge. Natson is currently being held at the Chatham County Detention Center while awaiting arraignment.

His next court date has not been set.
